Having spent four terms in the U.S. Senate, I am frequently asked about my thoughts on the upcoming Presidential election. My response is centered on global security matters. We live in a tumultuous world, with complex issues from conflicts in the Middle East, to tensions in Ukraine, Sudan, and North Korea, along with nine nations possessing nuclear capabilities. My vote will primarily focus on national security, acknowledging the domestic issues are balanced by Congress and the judiciary. In contrast, foreign affairs are significantly shaped by the President’s leadership, particularly as they hold the unique authority to utilize nuclear arms.
