Unmissable Audio Innovations at CES 2026

The bustling CES 2026 has introduced a fascinating lineup of audio devices, from headphones that transform into Bluetooth speakers to mind-reading gaming headsets and advanced soundbars showcasing the latest Dolby audio advancements.

While some of these products are currently available for purchase, others are anticipated to hit the market later in the year, and a few remain in the conceptual phase. Below are the highlights that truly caught my attention.

Klipsch Atlas HP-1

At CES 2026, Klipsch unveiled their HP-1 model, part of their Atlas series, featuring wireless headphones with active noise cancellation and closed-back design. These headphones, finished with wood accents and supporting USB-C audio, boast coaxial drivers. Although full details are not yet disclosed, it is anticipated that these headphones will be available by summer.

While testing at the typically loud Las Vegas Convention Center, the ANC performance of the HP-1 was particularly impressive, efficiently minimizing ambient noise—often a challenge for high-fidelity headphones.

Samsung Music Studio 7

Samsung's latest Music Studio speakers feature an innovative design, integrating smart features that seamlessly connect with other Samsung devices. The flagship model, Music Studio 7, offers a powerful 3.1.1-channel arrangement with an internal subwoofer delivering robust bass and supports up to 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution audio.

For those looking to enhance their audio setup, the Music Studio 7 can function as rear speakers for compatible Samsung TVs. Details on pricing and release date are still pending.

xMEMS Sycamore-N Audio Chip

Designed for smartglasses, the xMEMS Sycamore-N audio chip replaces traditional dynamic drivers, allowing for slimmer, lighter frames. Offering exceptional sound quality, the Sycamore-N enhances the audio experience, delivering an airy and immersive soundstage. These chips are poised to become available next year.

I had the opportunity to try out a prototype with the Sycamore-N and was taken by the spatial sound, distinct from the typical ear-centric audio.

Victrola Soundstage

Victrola's latest offering caters to vinyl enthusiasts constrained by space and features a sound base compatible with various turntables. The Soundstage integrates technologies like dual diaphragms to minimize vibration, allowing robust bass without jeopardizing your records or player.

This innovative approach ensures that even those with limited space can enjoy high-quality sound without the need for bulky equipment.

Shokz OpenFit Pro

Shokz presented their novel open-ear earbuds, equipped with noise reduction capabilities, ideal for users who need to maintain environmental awareness while minimizing intrusive noises.

While the OpenFit Pro offers practical advantages in real-world environments, its heavier design and $250 price tag may deter some potential users.

LG Sound Suite

LG introduced the Sound Suite, a modular audio system featuring the H7 soundbar, the M5 and M7 surround speakers, and the W7 subwoofer, debuting the groundbreaking Dolby Atmos FlexConnect feature.

The FlexConnect technology adapts to any room, allowing users to experience Dolby Atmos without needing a perfectly square room. This system was demonstrated at CES, showcasing its flexibility in sound optimization regardless of room size or shape.

Neurable x HyperX Gaming Headset

In collaboration with HyperX, Neurable is pioneering a gaming headset embedded with a brain-computer interface, promising insights into a player's mental preparedness, potentially refining accuracy, response times, and concentration.

Although specifics about the public release are scarce, demos at CES provided a glimpse into this innovative gaming accessory's potential.

Pioneer Sphera

Pioneer's Sphera is the first aftermarket in-dash receiver supporting both Dolby Atmos and Apple CarPlay, allowing those with older vehicles to upgrade their audio experiences substantially. Priced at $1,300, Sphera uses autotuning to tailor the listening experience to your vehicle's interior.

Additionally, it features a 10.1-inch HD display and is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it an appealing option for tech-savvy drivers.
