An investigation by CBS News has brought to light a troubling pattern of illegal activities among law enforcement leaders across the United States. The investigation reveals that over the past two decades, numerous police officials have been involved in the purchase and illegal sale of firearms.
The review included analysis of government audits and court records, uncovering incidents spanning 23 states as well as Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. Altogether, more than 50 cases have been identified, highlighting a widespread issue of misconduct involving those entrusted to uphold the law.
