FBI Acknowledges Two Election-Related Fake Videos

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has announced that it is "aware" that two fabricated videos, falsely attributed to the agency, have surfaced concerning the electoral process.

In the first video, incorrect claims are made that the FBI captured three factions involved in tampering with ballots. Meanwhile, the second phony video involves falsehoods connected to Doug Emhoff, the Second Gentleman. The FBI confirmed the inauthentic nature of these videos.

"Such attempts to mislead the public with counterfeit FBI-related content compromise our democratic processes and work to shake confidence in our voting systems," warned the FBI. They urge citizens to trust only verified sources for election information, like local election offices, and to promptly report any suspicious activities to authorities or their nearest FBI office.

Potential Foreign Influence

The intelligence community has frequently identified foreign actors, notably from Russia, China, and Iran, as creators of false videos. The FBI has not confirmed any international connections to the current videos.
