Reduction in Corporate Enforcement Under Trump, Says Public Citizen

In the first year after returning to office, the Trump administration scrapped at least 162 actions against corporations and put a stop to 14 additional cases, as reported by the advocacy organization, Public Citizen.
Impact on Corporate Penalties
The organization, founded by Ralph Nader, released a statement on Thursday indicating that the administration's decision to pull back had resulted in approximately 18 companies evading a total of $3.1 billion in fines. Moreover, it was noted that certain businesses either made contributions to Trump or had connections with him.
