Sea of Stars Indie RPG Arrives on Mobile Devices April 7

An Affordable Entry into A Beloved Game

Scheduled for release on April 7, the indie RPG Sea of Stars is making its way to mobile platforms. The new iOS and Android versions will be available for just $10, a significant markdown from its original $35 price for PC and consoles. It's worth noting that many platforms still sell at that initial price point.

Mobile Adaptation and Enhanced Features

This isn't a straightforward port; adjustments have been made to the interface for an engaging touch-based experience. Players can also enjoy controller compatibility, which is highly beneficial for ported smartphone titles. Android users will find additional perks, including Google Play Games achievements and support for cloud saves across multiple devices.

A Timeless Journey with Familiar Design

Fans will recognize the core of Sea of Stars as unchanged, continuing to deliver the engaging experience that crowned it the best indie game at The Game Awards two years ago, despite significant competition.

The game beautifully channels the aesthetic and gameplay of revered 1990s RPGs, most notably echoed in the design inspiration drawn from Chrono Trigger. With its enchanting storyline, intricate turn-based combat, and stunning art, Sea of Stars offers far more than simple nostalgia.

Limitations and Future Updates

While previous versions allowed three-player local co-op, this feature isn't present in the mobile iteration due to understandable limitations. Furthermore, accessing the latest Throes of the Watchmaker DLC isn't possible on mobile at launch but is anticipated to become a purchasable update later on.
