Nintendo Switch's Year-End Review for 2025 Now Available
We have reached mid-January, and Nintendo has opted for a 'better-late-than-never' strategy by launching its 2025 year-end summary for Switch and Switch 2 enthusiasts. To view your personalized insights for the year, simply log into your Nintendo account on their website.
In a manner similar to other yearly gaming summaries, Nintendo's review reveals the total number of games you engaged with during the past year, along with your accumulated playtime. The recap also breaks down your most frequently played games each month, and highlights your favorite genres by percentage. At the bottom, you can select your favorite title of the year and even download an image showcasing your gaming preferences, though direct social media sharing is not supported.
The year 2025 was significant for Nintendo, thanks to the release of the Switch 2 in early June. If you acquired this new model, the review website acknowledges your purchase. However, it doesn't distinguish between games played on the original Switch and those on the successor.
Competitors of Nintendo rolled out their 2025 gaming retrospectives in December. Sony was the first, but their feature is currently unavailable, while Steam followed soon after and its recap is still accessible. This allows you to compare your Switch 2 playtime with your hours on the Steam Deck. Notably, Microsoft opted out of a 2025 wrap-up, potentially redirecting their marketing budget to commemorate major anniversaries this year, including Xbox's 25th year.
