Trump Signals Severe Measures if Iran Executes Protesters

President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning, indicating that the U.S. will respond decisively if Iran proceeds with the execution of its dissidents.

During an exclusive conversation with CBS Evening News host Tony Dokoupil in Dearborn, Michigan, Trump insisted that significant repercussions would follow any move by Iran to hang anti-government demonstrators.

Trump acknowledged that a substantial number of people have perished during the unrest over the past few weeks. Reports suggest that between 12,000 to 20,000 may have died, as footage displayed rows of body bags at a Tehran morgue.

Through social media, Trump cautioned Iranian leaders against violent actions, hinting that they would face severe consequences. He reassured the Iranian populace that aid was forthcoming and announced his stance against meeting any Iranian officials until the violence subsides.

In the interview, Trump emphasized that various forms of aid, including economic support, are being prepared for Iranian citizens. He briefly mentioned previous U.S. military actions against Iran’s nuclear sites but withheld additional details.

Upon being questioned about his ultimate objective regarding Iran, Trump stated his goal is unequivocal victory. He listed various military successes from his terms, like notable raids and the strategic assassination of key Iranian military figures.

Trump expressed a desire to prevent further tragedy in Iran, affirming that if peaceful protests escalate to mass executions, the situation would have dire results for Iran.
