At CES 2026, Sharpa captivated audiences with their groundbreaking humanoid robot. This remarkable creation tirelessly engaged in games of ping-pong and handled blackjack dealing duties, while effortlessly capturing selfies with curious onlookers.

Meet the SharpaWave: A Marvel of Engineering

Another star attraction at the booth was the SharpaWave, a lifelike robotic hand engineered with precision. Its impressive 22 active degrees of freedom enable detailed and accurate finger motions, closely mimicking human gestures. When I waved my hand before its camera, its mimicry was nearly flawless and truly fascinating.

This sophisticated hand is equipped with miniature cameras at each fingertip, along with over 1,000 tactile sensors. Such features allow it to grasp items with the utmost care, whether it's lifting a card from a deck or setting it softly upon a surface.

A Versatile Robotic Competitor

Sharpa's bot also proved its mettle as an adept ping-pong player. Unlike traditional ping-pong robots, which often consist of singular mechanical arms, this humanoid stands from the waist up.
