Avowed Makes Its Debut on PlayStation 5

Obsidian Entertainment's celebrated RPG, Avowed, will transition from being an Xbox exclusive to being available on PlayStation 5. Mark your calendars for February 17, as this date marks nearly a year since the game's original launch.

Coinciding with this release, all platforms will receive a major update. This includes the introduction of a new game+ mode, ideal for players aiming to re-experience the journey with their accumulated gear and enhancements. Additionally, a photo mode and fresh weapon types will be unveiled.

A Familiar Yet Enriching Universe

Rooted in the world of Pillars of Eternity, Avowed immerses players in the task of unveiling the mysteries behind a pervasive fungal outbreak. According to Engadget's Jessica Conditt, the story is consistently engaging, though the character-driven sidequests are notably impactful. The game impresses with customizable combat mechanics, fascinating characters, and ample inventory space, creating an enchanting experience beyond just the mystical elements.

Xbox Titles Transitioning to PlayStation

The past few years have seen Microsoft transferring several Xbox titles to the PlayStation platform, dissolving former exclusivity barriers. Prominent games like Forza Horizon 5, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Senua's Saga: Hellblade II have previously made the leap. Noteworthy among these transitions is the upcoming release of a Halo game on PS5, a scenario once considered unlikely.
