Simple and Effective Bluetooth Pairing

These speakers offer seamless Bluetooth connection, allowing for quick pairing with your devices. After connecting one speaker, you can easily sync another KALLSUP using a straightforward two-button method. Although theoretically, up to 100 speakers can be connected, the actual record stands at 40, set by the IKEA team during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

A Creation by Ola Wihlborg

The renowned Swedish designer Ola Wihlborg, a frequent collaborator with IKEA, designed these compact speakers. Each unit is a small square, measuring 2.75 inches on each side and 3 inches in height. Equipped with tiny feet for stability, one side of the speaker showcases a grill, with controls for pairing and playback situated on the top.

Design and Practicality

Available in bright hues such as white, dark pink, and lime green, the KALLSUP speakers add a splash of color wherever they are placed. Charging is facilitated via a USB-C port, and IKEA assures users of a replaceable battery, extending the product's lifespan.

An Audio Experience Beyond Its Size

During a hands-on session with nine KALLSUP speakers, I experienced a surprisingly powerful sound that belied their compact nature. Connecting each additional speaker involved pressing the Bluetooth button, waiting a moment for the start-up sound, and then pressing play. The entire setup was accomplished in mere seconds per unit, and the resulting sound filled the room impressively.

Versatile Usage

The KALLSUP speakers, while not waterproof, offer excellent versatility. They can be scattered throughout an indoor space or arranged in a garden for vibrant sound and color. Utilizing Bluetooth 5.3 technology, these speakers are scheduled to hit IKEA shelves by April 2026.
