Segway Unveils New E-Bikes and Dirt Bike at CES
Introducing the Innovative Myon and Muxi E-Bikes
While I might not be a psychologist, it's apparent that Segway arrived at CES 2026 with a strong desire to make a statement after the previous year. This time, the company was determined to bolster its reputation in the micromobility sector, perhaps responding to critics who doubted their venture into the e-bike market. At this year's event, Segway debuted not just two more mainstream e-bikes but also an electric dirt bike, all teeming with advanced technology aimed at silencing skeptics.
The first new offering is the Myon, a sturdy step-through model designed for long-distance travel and capable of carrying luggage thanks to its spacious pannier rack. Although it might not stand out visually among numerous similar e-bikes, Segway hopes its technological advancements will set it apart. The Myon boasts electronic gear shifting, linked to a Shimano CUES chain drivetrain, along with electronic motor optimization and Segway’s exclusive Intelligent Ride System.
This system, complemented by Segway(TM) TurboTuned(TM), autonomously enhances motor and battery efficiency during rides. Thanks to integrated gyros, cadence, and torque sensors, performance adjusts to road conditions. For instance, when ascending a hill, the power incrementally increases without any need for rider intervention. Additionally, when stopped at lights, the bike avoids the abrupt start common in other models by not activating full power until needed.
Smart Features and Versatility of the Muxi Cargo Bike
Segway’s vision extends beyond basic functionality, integrating numerous smart features into their bikes. These include compatibility with Apple’s Find My network, GPS tracking, remote locking, connection to health and fitness applications, and smartphone integration.
The Muxi (pronounced 'moo-shee') is a more distinctive model, essentially a longtail cargo bike without the extended tail. Primarily focusing on cargo, this bike optionally supports a passenger seat with foot rests and a middle basket. It even features a cup holder—though it remains to be seen if one can safely enjoy a beverage while riding. To assist with handling loads, the Muxi is outfitted with Hill Start and Descent Assist, regenerative braking, and traction control, along with similar advanced features to the Myon.
Exploring Off-Road Adventures with the Xaber 300
Segway also introduced the Xaber 300, an electric dirt bike conceived for off-road enthusiasts. With three adjustable power modes, riders can start with a power comparable to a 150cc engine, advance to 200cc, and eventually reach a 300cc equivalent. This bike offers further customizability through an electronic clutch and an adjustable maximum wheelie angle for varying control levels. While pricing details for the Xaber 300 remain undisclosed, more information is anticipated with its release expected by Spring or Summer.
Currently available for purchase is the Myon, priced at $2,000, directly from Segway's official website and authorized dealers. The Muxi will follow with availability projected in March, costing $1,700.
