Asus Introduces Cutting-Edge OLED Gaming Monitors with Superior Clarity

In a noteworthy announcement at CES, Asus unveiled a trio of innovative OLED gaming monitors featuring the latest 'RGB stripe' technology. This development, as the company explains, represents a leap forward in perfecting 'texture sharpness and consistent color rendering.'

Technological Leap: RGB Stripe Innovation

The RGB stripe configuration, also highlighted by giants Samsung Display and LG Display, arranges the subpixel colors into vertical columns of red, green, and blue. This alignment significantly boosts visual sharpness and color fidelity, according to Asus, enhancing user interaction across various activities.

Asus states that these monitors serve multiple purposes, offering vibrant, precise colors for intense gaming experiences, excellent text clarity for daily computing, and accurate imaging for creative tasks.

Introducing the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM

Among the new models, the 27-inch ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM stands out. It incorporates Tandem OLED technology, promising unmatched brightness, extensive color gamut, and extended screen longevity. Users can switch between 4K at 240Hz or Full HD at 480Hz, with the monitor supporting true 10-bit color output.

Larger Models: 34-inch ROG Monitors

The larger models, the 34-inch ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDN and ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS, feature quantum dot OLED panels that achieve 40% deeper perceived blacks compared to earlier QD-OLED screens. The PG34WCDN can refresh at up to 360Hz, while the XG34WCDMS offers a maximum of 280Hz, both providing true 10-bit color fidelity.

These monitors include a comprehensive set of ports, including a DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and a versatile USB-C port. The PG34WCDN delivers 90W power throughput, contrasting with the XG34WCDMS’s 15W capacity.

Upcoming Availability

While Asus has not yet detailed the specific release dates for these monitors, they assure potential buyers that these displays are on their way to the market.
