Adorable Bladeless Fan at CES 2026: A Must-Have for Young Children

Understanding the necessity of a reliable stroller fan to cool down young ones in warmer climates is crucial for many parents. Most current models come with blades that pose a risk to curious toddlers. Enter Baby FuFu, a new innovation by Tokyo's robotics startup, Yukai. Debuted at CES 2026, this portable fan boasts a bladeless design tailored for safe interaction with infants and toddlers.

With its charming bear shape, Baby FuFu emits air from its mouth. Its internal blades are safely contained behind a small opening, ensuring babies can touch it without risk—no danger, even if their fingers touch the bear’s mouth.

Children can manually hold the fan to cool themselves, or parents can twist its limbs around a stroller handle, positioning it to direct air toward their child. It features a button to toggle between three distinct airflows.

Baby FuFu mirrors the company’s previous design—a small fan aimed at cooling hot beverages or food. Its name draws inspiration from the sound of gently blowing to cool items, much like blowing on hot soup. Although called robots by the makers, these devices function more akin to fans than robots.

While there are alternative bladeless fans available, none exist in a child-friendly, playful design that allows young ones to interact with them safely.

"Baby FuFu was inspired by feedback on our Nekojita FuFu fans, where users expressed how their children enjoyed not just cooling their food, but playing with it too, like fanning their faces or pretending to dry their hair," Yukai Engineering CEO Shunsuke Aoki mentioned in a press statement.

"Customers also expressed interest in a fan adaptation, leading us to create a device that encourages toddlers to stay cool amidst rising temperatures while engaging in playful activities. Portable fans are now vital during summer in many global regions, and we're thrilled to introduce this cute device at CES 2026."

Yukai is aiming for a mid-2026 public release for Baby FuFu. Although the price is not finalized, it is anticipated to range between $50 and $60.
