Pebble aims to rectify these issues with the new model, addressing previous criticisms while enhancing the overall experience.

One significant improvement with the Round 2 is the removal of the oversized bezel, replaced by a sleek 1.3-inch color e-paper touchscreen that maximizes screen space. Viewing angles have been significantly enhanced, allowing for easy time-checking from various wrist positions. Furthermore, the screen has been seamlessly integrated with the glass, minimizing glare and reflections, issues that were quite problematic in the original design.

Perhaps the most notable upgrade is the impressive battery longevity. The Pebble Round 2 promises more than two weeks on a single charge—meeting the high expectations of Pebble's loyal fan base. Despite maintaining a slim profile at just 8.1mm, making it more refined compared to bulkier rivals, it now features dual microphones for voice interactions with AI and voice-activated messaging, along with fitness tracking capabilities for steps and sleep.

Migicovsky emphasizes that the goal is not just to resolve past model problems but to focus on practicality over unnecessary features. Previously, in an attempt to widen its market, Pebble included extra functions that led to its downfall.
