Xbox's Cloud Gaming Expands to Amazon Fire TVs
Microsoft has expanded its Xbox cloud gaming service to include certain models of Amazon Fire TVs. This advancement is now available on the Fire TV 4-Series and the Fire TV Omni QLED Series, enabling users to enjoy Xbox games directly on their television screens without the traditional need for a bulky console or even a Fire TV stick.
To make use of this service, gamers must have a few essentials. Primarily, an active Game Pass subscription is necessary, with plans beginning at $10 and increasing up to $30 per month. Additionally, a compatible wireless controller is required, though most gamepads with Bluetooth capability should suffice.
Full Platform Access via Game Pass
This feature ensures that all titles available on the Game Pass platform are accessible and also provides the ability to stream numerous games that users already own through the 'stream your own game' function. Although this option is not universal for every game, it supports hundreds of titles.
Amazon anticipates this as merely the onset of such developments, committing to broaden this capability to additional TV models in the future. Xbox Game Pass was initially launched on select Amazon streaming devices earlier this year, aligning with the shared operating system of Fire TVs and the company's streaming sticks.
