LG Unveils Its Cutting-Edge Micro RGB TV Before CES 2026

As anticipation builds for CES 2026, tech giant LG has already made headlines by announcing its groundbreaking 'Micro RGB evo TV.' This latest innovation features micro-RGB LED technology designed to refine colors with OLED-like precision, offering viewers unparalleled visual clarity.

The remarkable achievements of this TV stem from the synergy of enhanced hardware and software components. At its core lies the Dual AI Engine-powered Alpha 11 Processor Gen 3, a sophisticated chip that leverages artificial intelligence to perfect image clarity and color distribution, thereby enhancing the immersive quality of content.

This technological marvel also supports 'Primary Color Ultra,' ensuring compatibility with a trio of color spaces: BT.2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB. This positions the LG TV as a formidable contender against Samsung's Micro RGB LED TV, which debuted in 2025.

Enhancing the display's versatility, the TV incorporates Micro Dimming Ultra, which meticulously adjusts over a thousand individual brightness zones to enhance contrast and detail visibility in both dark and bright scenes. Additional features such as Voice ID, Sound Wizard, and an AI-driven search function enrich the user experience.

Though LG has yet to reveal pricing details or an official release date for the Micro RGB evo TV, the company has confirmed it will be offered in three expansive sizes: 75 inches, 86 inches, and 100 inches.

Notably, Samsung's earlier release of a micro-RGB TV set a high standard with its vivid color and robust contrast, earning praise from Kerry Wan, ZDNET's Managing Reviews Editor. LG's entry into this competitive market suggests a thrilling rivalry that promises cutting-edge advancements for consumers.

While it's premature to definitively assess LG's Micro RGB evo against its competitors, the company's bold promises hint at an exciting breakthrough in home entertainment technology.
