Launched earlier this year, Amazon's same-day delivery of perishable goods, including fruits, vegetables, dairy, and meats, alongside traditional items like electronics and books, has been very well received. This news reflects its increasing popularity and success.

To maintain the quality of fresh goods, Amazon employs an intricate, temperature-controlled fulfillment system. Perishables are securely packaged in insulated bags, ensuring they remain fresh upon arrival. Prime members can enjoy free delivery on orders over $25, while others incur a $13 delivery charge.

According to Amazon, fresh foods constitute nine of the top ten items frequently ordered for fast delivery, showcasing the high demand for items like avocados. The company continues to enhance its offerings by integrating Whole Foods products into this service.
