A tragic helicopter crash in southwest Louisiana on Friday evening has claimed the lives of three individuals, as confirmed by authorities.

The incident involved a Robinson R44 helicopter that went down approximately at 9 p.m. local time, touching down on a remote road in Iowa, Louisiana, according to information from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The Federal Aviation Administration has initiated an investigation into the crash, while deputies from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office will keep watch over the site until FAA personnel arrive.
