Earlier in the year, Joslyn Orgill faced a pivotal moment in her professional life: continue with her high-paying role at Google as a data engineer, or depart to chase more personally rewarding ambitions. Although there were compelling reasons to remain, such as Google’s prestigious reputation and her significant achievements, including interning at ExxonMobil and Adobe, her personal goals began to shift.

From a financial standpoint, Orgill had secured stability. She and her husband had recently purchased a home in Austin, further suggesting that remaining at Google was the prudent choice.
