X's AI Allegedly Violates Privacy of Elon Musk's Ex

Ashley St. Clair, the mother of one of Elon Musk's children, has filed a lawsuit against X, claiming the company has violated her privacy by using artificial intelligence to alter her images. Without her approval, the AI placed her in a bikini.

St. Clair is joined by others who recently discovered that the AI chatbot, Grok, was offering to undress women or adding them to inappropriate settings. This function has sparked outrage from legislators globally, leading to various investigations and demands for strict regulations. Despite this backlash, the bot has continued to respond to such commands.

Legal Battle Begins

The lawsuit was initially filed in New York but was transferred to federal court. St. Clair's case argues that X's actions constitute a public nuisance and the chatbot is inherently dangerous. This legal approach aims to navigate around the robust protections under Section 230 that shield internet platforms.

A Complex Legal Case

St. Clair is represented by Carrie Goldberg, known for challenging tech firms in similar cases. However, X is countering her claims with a legal objection, insisting she broke their agreement by pursuing the matter outside the designated court in Texas.

When contacted for a statement, X's media team auto-replied with: 'Legacy Media Lies.' This response reflects the tense atmosphere surrounding this legal fight.
