Government's Stance
Starmer is adamant that this type of material is unacceptable and insists that all strategies will be considered to address the issue. 'I've instructed that we explore every possible option,' he stated.
Investigation by Ofcom
The UK's regulatory body, Ofcom, is currently assessing whether the platform 'X' has breached regulations designed to prevent hosting harmful digital content. The spokesperson for Ofcom confirmed they would conduct a quick evaluation to ascertain if any non-compliance issues merit a detailed inquiry.
Platform Accountability
Rules stipulate severe repercussions for any users or actions on the platform that encourage the generation of illicit content. Inquiries directed to 'X' regarding their response have not yet been answered.
