The Revolutionary Haptic Trackpad: A Highlight of CES
Hyper, known for its innovative tech gear, debuted an array of new gadgets at CES, among them was the highly anticipated wireless TrackPad Pro. This sophisticated haptic touchpad caters specifically to Windows users. The company also unveiled a cutting-edge USB4 M.2 PCIe enclosure, built in aluminum for optimal heat dissipation, designed to support NVMe SSDs.
Experience with the Hyper Trackpad Pro
Having tested the TrackPad Pro earlier this year, it stands out as a luxurious and adaptable option for Windows enthusiasts, from creative professionals to casual users who appreciate gesture controls on both laptops and desktops. The device's unique 240Hz reporting rate achieves remarkable accuracy, bolstered by layered haptic feedback. Its lightly angled build includes an intelligent hand-resting feature, ensuring the cursor remains steady even when the palm is placed on the pad.
Users can unlock the full potential of the TrackPad Pro through the accompanying Hydra Connect software. This platform allows for comprehensive customization of gestures and smart functions, which can be assigned to various supported applications.
Connecting the TrackPad Pro couldn't be more straightforward with a single USB-C port for charging or use in wired mode. Once charged, the device boasts an impressive battery life lasting up to a month. The anticipated release in late Q1 2026 will set the price at $129.
A Glimpse at Hyper’s Peripheral Innovations
Beyond the TrackPad Pro, Hyper's announcements included innovations like the HyperDrive USB4 M.2 PCIe enclosure, which serves as a high-speed hub for SSDs and PCIe cards, ideal for data-intensive processes like AI computation, featuring thermal pads and an aluminum build for enhanced cooling.
Hyper also introduced a line of solid state power banks that leverage cooler, faster-charging solid materials with Qi2 compatibility, capable of creating efficient charge cycles with reduced heat risk. These are tailored for the tech-savvy audience utilizing MagSafe-enabled devices and the upcoming versions are integrated with Apple’s Find My technology.
