Next-Gen Legion Series Highlights: NVIDIA RTX 50 GPUs and Smart AI Processes

For the upcoming CES 2026, Lenovo has introduced various improvements across its Legion and LOQ gaming laptop ranges. The new models boast the incorporation of the cutting-edge Nvidia RTX 50 graphics cards.

The revamped Legion 7a model is designed to be more compact and lighter than its predecessor, meticulously crafted for gamers, digital creators, and professionals alike. According to Lenovo, this device integrates AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors alongside RTX 50 GPUs, yielding a maximum power capacity of 125W.

Flexible Hardware Options

Buyers can anticipate diverse configurations in terms of CPU and GPU selections. Specifically, the 7a variant is expected to offer options up to a Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 chip paired with an RTX 5060 GPU. However, specific configuration details have yet to be disclosed.

Advanced Display and AI Optimization

Featuring a 16-inch OLED screen, Lenovo heralds this model as being equipped for demanding tasks such as complex software coding, simulations, and 3D design initiatives. Operating on Windows 11 Copilot+, the laptop utilizes internal software to intelligently adjust its power consumption and cooling based on the workload it handles. Pricing for the Legion 7a begins at $2,000, with an anticipated release in April.

Updated Legion 5 series: Variation and Capability

Additionally, Lenovo has revamped its Legion 5 lineup with the Legion 5i integrating Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 3 chips, and the Legion 5a offering a choice between AMD Ryzen AI 400 or Ryzen 200 processors. Both types include RTX 50 GPUs, OLED displays, and similar software features as the 7a model. The 5i is configurable with an Intel Ultra 9 386H and an RTX 5060 GPU, while the 5a maxes out with a Ryzen AI 9 465 and an RTX 5060 GPU setup.

Versatile Functionality

Running on Windows 11 Copilot+, these laptops promise capabilities for gaming, streaming, presentation creation, and video editing. Starting prices are set at $1,550 for the 5i, $1,500 for the 5a with Ryzen AI 400, and $1,300 for the 5a with Ryzen 200, all aiming for an April release.

LOQ Series: Entry Level Options for Students

Targeting the educational sector, the entry-level LOQ 15AHP11 and LOQ 15IPH11 laptops are built for students, featuring RTX 50 graphics cards and a 15.3-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) LCD screen. The 15AHP11 model starts at $1,150, with an availability estimated in April; however, the 15IPH11 will not be available in the United States.
