Though some details are still under wraps until embargoes are lifted, here are the highlights of the most prominent laptops unveiled thus far. Expect additional updates as more revelations are made throughout January 6 and beyond.

Unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Line

Samsung's Galaxy Book6 series made its debut with three new models powered by Intel’s Panther Lake processors: the Galaxy Book6, Book6 Pro, and Book6 Ultra. This year's focus includes refined designs, enhanced thermal mechanisms, and extended battery life, boasting up to 30 hours of video playback for the Book6 Ultra and Pro models.

Leading the way is the 16-inch Galaxy Book6 Ultra, offering configurations up to Intel Core Ultra X9 CPUs, along with Intel Arc and NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs, including the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060. Samsung claims a 1.6x increase in CPU performance and 1.7x enhancement in graphics over its predecessor, aided by a wider vapor chamber and a dual-path fan system for cooling the GPU.

The Book6 Ultra and Pro come with advanced 2,880 x 1,800 AMOLED 2X screens, featuring touch capabilities, variable refresh rates up to 120Hz, and peak brightness reaching 1,000 nits. Details about pricing and launch dates are yet to be disclosed.

These two Nebula OLED screens support HDR and boast a peak brightness of 1,100 nits, with NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, stylus input, and superior color precision. Under the hood, Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors are paired with NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs, capped at an RTX 5090. Additional features include a detachable wireless keyboard, a built-in stand, and various user modes such as dual-screen stacking and drawing configurations. The OmniBook Ultra 14 provides a 3K OLED screen and can be configured with up to 64GB memory and 2TB storage. Users can pick between Intel Core Ultra chips or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite, with the latter offering an NPU capable of up to 85 TOPS for AI tasks.
