Meta Halts Expansion of Ray-Ban Smart Glasses
Those anticipating Meta's Ray-Ban smart eyewear release in new markets will need to exercise patience.
Meta has decided to delay the planned introduction of these innovative glasses in markets such as France, Italy, Canada, and the UK until at least early 2026. This move results from a surge in demand that the current stock cannot accommodate.
Responding to Overwhelming Interest
After the product's initial launch last autumn, the interest it garnered exceeded expectations. Consequently, the waiting lists for these glasses have grown extensively, now projecting into late 2026 according to a report shared by Meta during the CES event.
In light of this, Meta aims to concentrate efforts on meeting the demands of their U.S. customer base while they reassess the strategy for making the product available overseas.
Future Prospects Remain Uncertain
Currently, Meta has not specified a revised timeline for the international availability of the Ray-Ban smart eyewear. The delay may come as a disappointment to potential international buyers keen on acquiring the stylish tech accessory.
