Corsair’s New Gaming Keyboard Integrates Stream Deck

Corsair's New Gaming Keyboard Integrates Stream Deck

The Galleon 100 SD is priced at $350, created after years of feedback from users.

Elgato's revolutionary Stream Deck concept has returned to its roots. Almost a decade after departing from the Art Lebedev’s Optimus keyboard concept, Elgato and Corsair revisit the keyboard world. Unveiled at CES 2026, the Galleon 100 SD is a wired mechanical keyboard, featuring a complete Stream Deck Plus, along with some extra innovations: 12 programmable buttons, a versatile 5-inch 720 x 1280 IPS display, and two dials for various functions.

A History of Integration

Elgato's Stream Deck elements have been seen in Corsair products before. Back in 2022, I reviewed the Corsair Voyager gaming laptop, which included lackluster touch buttons compatible with Elgato’s software. Despite its underutilization, it marked the beginning of more integrated products, as Corsair acquired Elgato in 2018. Now, with the Galleon, they offer a fully-fledged Stream Deck experience rather than a simplistic version.

This advanced keyboard is launching on January 29th, available for preorder at a price of $349.99.

Gaming Keyboard Capabilities

While the Galleon’s primary highlight is its Stream Deck integration, it's also an impressive gaming keyboard on its own. It boasts features like an 8,000Hz polling rate, MLX Pulse switches on a hot-swappable PCB, gasket mounting, and FlashTap technology for simultaneous key presses in opposing directions, ideal for gaming.

Elgato's general manager, Julian Fest, mentions that the Galleon uses a larger, higher-resolution display compared to current Stream Decks, offering improved viewing angles.

Two-in-One Device

As expected, the Galleon operates as two separate devices under different software controls. The left side operates via Corsair’s web hub, whereas the right leverages Elgato’s Stream Deck software. However, they are working towards firmware updates to unify the experience, especially for settings like LED profiles and polling rates.

Elgato is collaborating with game developers to integrate Stream Deck functionalities directly into more games, further tailoring the Galleon for dedicated simulator enthusiasts.

Versatile Applications

The Stream Deck has become essential for streamers, and even for daily users needing accessible tools such as webcam control. Its programmable buttons open a world of possibilities, from running macros to providing leisure activities like virtual bubble wrap.

Julian Fest, a passionate user, demonstrated the ease of switching Christmas tunes, altering webcam settings via OBS, adjusting room lights, and managing sound—all with minimal effort. The Stream Deck display can serve multifunctional purposes like showing weather updates or Spotify album art, turning the setup into a comprehensive command center.

Strategic Development

Creating this advanced keyboard wasn’t straightforward. The Galleon’s extensive customization is only possible after years of refining the software to perfection. Hiring Tobias Brinkmann, who originally developed Mountain keyboards, was crucial.

Mountain's Everest Max keyboard, featuring detachable numpads with programmable button screens, was an innovative highlight similar to the Stream Deck approach. After purchasing one, Fest disassembled it to ensure no patent infringements — unaware that Tobias would soon lead Corsair’s gaming division.

Brinkmann humorously credits the delayed product development to Corsair's prolonged timeline. Fest acknowledges their mutual German backgrounds ease their collaboration, but insists professional rapport is paramount.
