Asus Zenbook Duo: Enhanced Performance and Design

Scheduled for a reveal at CES 2026, Asus' Zenbook Duo is back with a series of improvements. While it retains its unique dual-screen design, the laptop is enhanced with Intel’s upcoming Panther Lake processors, although exact pricing details remain undisclosed.

Refined Design and Functionality

One of the standout changes is the aesthetic and structural redesign. The Zenbook Duo now features a textured Ceraluminum finish that not only looks sleek but also provides a high-end tactical experience. The hinge has been re-engineered to offer a smoother transition between its two OLED displays, significantly reducing the gap aligning the 14-inch displays, which deliver crisp visuals at 2880 x 1800 resolution with a refresh rate of 144Hz.

Battery and Build Enhancements

In addition, Asus has made strides in both battery capacity and form factor. The Zenbook Duo now houses a substantially larger 99Wh battery, enhancing its endurance from the previous generation's 75Wh unit. Despite this increase, the new model is more compact than its predecessor, making it both powerful and portable.

Innovations in User Interaction

The accessory attachment has also seen a clever transformation. The keyboard and trackpad deck now attach magnetically via pogo pins to the lower screen, with the pins smoothly retracting into the body when disconnected and emerging again as needed. This new magnetic mechanism allows for a tidier setup.

While at a glance the updates may seem minor, side-by-side comparisons with outgoing models reveal the marked improvements in both hinge mechanics and overall user interface. Tech enthusiasts and professionals eagerly anticipate hands-on trials with the new Zenbook Duo, alongside its latest gaming-focused variant.
