Asus ZenBook A14 Refreshed with Enhanced Power

Main Updates to the ZenBook A14

Asus's announcement of the revamped ZenBook A14 last year caught significant attention, eventually becoming my go-to laptop. Now, the company is enhancing its lightweight favorite with increased capabilities and introducing a larger 16-inch model.

The 2026 release of ZenBook A14 maintains its impressive features such as an OLED screen, excellent battery longevity, and ample storage capacity, all under 1 kilogram in weight—an exciting prospect for those who travel frequently.

Hardware and Performance

The upgraded ZenBook A14 (model UX3407NA) boasts a powerful 18-core processor, composed of 12 Prime cores coupled with six Performance cores. With its improved memory cache and enhanced graphics per watt, along with 80 TOPs NPU, it promises a performance boost over previous versions.

A dual-fan system for cooling has been innovatively integrated into its slender 0.63-inch frame without adding extra bulk.

Design and Build

Continuing with the 2025 version's success, the ZenBook A14 (UX3407NA) is constructed from Ceraluminum, renowned for its lightweight nature and robust durability.

In addition to its distinctive texture, the laptop's surface resists scratches and fingerprints. It also meets military-grade durability standards (MIL-STD 810H). Asus has included features like the EasyLift hinge—perfect for one-handed opening—and an intuitive touchpad for gesture control.

While past hinge designs were somewhat restricting, this year's iteration feels more reliable, making long typing sessions comfortable. The spacious trackpad ensures effortless gesture navigation.

Display and Connectivity

Weighing only 0.98 kilograms, the ZenBook A14 showcases a 14-inch OLED display offering FHD resolution, elevated with Dolby Atmos and Snapdragon Sound for an enriched viewing and listening journey. Depending on your needs, you can choose between the 24GB RAM with 512GB storage version or opt for 32GB RAM with 1TB of storage.

Perfect for productivity, the ZenBook A14 includes a broad selection of ports: a USB 3.2 Type-A, dual USB 4.0 Type-C ports (with display and charging capabilities), HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm audio port. For face recognition, an FHD camera supporting Windows Hello is available. Connectivity options feature Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

Battery Life and Release Information

On one complete charge, the ZenBook A14 can run over 28 hours for video playback, thanks to its 70Wh battery. Asus is yet to disclose the pricing, but it is set for release in the second quarter of 2026.
