An Innovative Solution for Charging Electric Trucks on the Go

Electric trucks have recently faced setbacks, primarily due to concerns regarding decreased range while towing. However, California's Evotrex offers an innovative solution with its RV, the Evotrex-PG5. This invention not only serves as a mobile home but also recharges your electric truck’s battery during transit.

The Unified Power Approach

Central to the PG5's capabilities is its advanced 'unified energy system.' This system integrates a sizeable 43 kWh lithium-phosphate battery with a 1.5 kW solar array and an ultra-efficient onboard generator known as Horizon. The Horizon serves as a kind of range booster, allowing for efficient energy management.

Together, these sources of energy are capable of generating over 270 kWh of usable energy per cycle. This feature grants adventurers the sense of freedom to explore far from the beaten path without worrying about running out of power. Evotrex touts the PG5 as the world's pioneering power-generating RV.

Power Management and Functionality

The RV ensures that power needs are met effortlessly through solar recharging, regenerative power while being towed, and the efficient operation of the Horizon generator. The PG5 supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, allowing users to power devices such as cooking equipment and tools directly from its power system.

When parked, simply connect your electric vehicle to the PG5 to replenish its battery. The RV supports both AC charging at 6.6 kW and DC fast charging at 60 kW. Besides being an ideal mobile home, it can even supply power to a household during a power outage.

Convenience and Luxury

Operating multiple energy sources can be daunting; thus, Evotrex offers the Power Calculator. This tool assists owners in estimating power requirements, considering environmental conditions and usage preferences. This way, users can gauge how long they can remain off-grid with precision.

Comfort Features

The PG5 doesn't skimp on comfort, showcasing a queen-sized bed, a versatile dining setup, modern appliances, a dry bathroom with a full shower, a dual-burner induction stove, a convection microwave, and a retractable patio deck. This RV offers abundant amenities to ensure travel is luxurious and comfortable.

Price and Production Details

Priced starting at $119,900, the PG5 positions itself among the high-end market tier, exhibiting its extensive power capabilities. A more elaborate version, the Atlas trim, begins at $159,990. Despite its high performance, the RV maintains a manageable weight of 9,500 lbs. Evotrex anticipates initiating production in late 2026, with customer deliveries expected in early 2027.
