Ikea Unveils Budget-Friendly $4 USB-C Charger

For those who often misplace or find themselves without a charger, Ikea offers a cost-effective solution with their new 20W Sjöss charger, priced at just $3.99.

This latest addition is Ikea's most economical option in their Sjöss line, following previous releases including a $30W version for $8 in 2024, and a $35 65W model available earlier this year.

In comparison, Apple's 20W USB-C Power Adapter is significantly more expensive at $19, while Anker's similar offering, the Nano Pro 20W USB-C charger, costs $11.99. Although Ikea's $4 charger is bigger and weighs 26 grams more than Anker's, those prioritizing portability might prefer the latter.

However, if cost is a critical factor, especially for travelers who are prone to leaving chargers behind in hotels, Ikea's version is an easily replaceable and affordable option.

One should note that the 20W Sjöss doesn’t come with a USB-C cable. It is currently only available in a light green shade. To facilitate personalization, Ikea includes a set of six colorful stickers, which is handy for families looking to differentiate multiple chargers within the household.
