Guide to Streaming the Hyundai CES 2026 Event
Hyundai Unveils the Holographic Windshield Display
Historically, CES has felt akin to a comprehensive automobile showcase, but this year’s event in 2026 sees this dynamic somewhat dampened. While the Afeela electric car, spawned from the Sony-Honda partnership, is again making an appearance, the rollback of numerous electric vehicle incentives by the Trump administration has toned down the aggressive launch of new cars in Las Vegas. Nevertheless, cutting-edge in-car technology isn't in short supply, with Hyundai’s innovative Holographic Windshield Display taking a center stage.
Hyundai’s Mobis division is poised to introduce over 30 pioneering mobility technologies during CES. Additionally, Hyundai is rolling out their AI Robotics Strategy which includes a debut appearance of the Atlas robot hot off the development bench.
Tuning into Hyundai’s CES 2026 Presentation
For those interested in catching Hyundai's showcase, the event is scheduled for January 5 at 4 PM ET. The presentation will be streamed live on HyundaiUSA's YouTube channel as well as on its global counterpart. A live feed will be available on our site when the event kicks off.
Anticipating Hyundai’s Innovations
This year's line-up includes Hyundai's Holographic Windshield Display, a futuristic upgrade to the traditional heads-up displays. This expansive screen seamlessly overlays critical driving data, minimizing driver distraction without blocking the road view. Additional functionality includes an 18.1-inch display that permits passengers to enjoy videos, unnoticed by the driver.
The groundbreaking system was realized through a partnership between Hyundai Mobis and Zeiss, a German expert in optics. Together, they've created what’s touted as the first system to apply holographic film, thus converting the entire frontal windshield into an expansive visual interface. While production isn’t slated until 2029, it undoubtedly sets a new benchmark in vehicular technology.
Beyond automobile displays, Hyundai is also introducing us to its new robotic innovation, Atlas. The robotic design, shown in promotional materials, is reminiscent of a canine, linking back to Hyundai's acquisition of Boston Dynamics in 2020. This iteration of Atlas marks a tangible advancement towards bringing AI-powered robots into the mainstream, reflecting Hyundai’s dedication to crafting secure and versatile robotic colleagues.
The presentation will further explore Hyundai's diverse technological ventures, covering topics such as safety in electronic and chassis systems, augmented reality head-up displays, energy-efficient display technologies, and electric vehicle powertrain solutions.
