Samsung's New Wi-Fi Speakers Could Be the Top Audio Choice of 2026
Highlights from ZDNET
With CES just around the corner, Samsung has begun outlining its plans for the event. In addition to showcasing advances in smart home technology, televisions, and soundbars, the company has introduced a new line of Wi-Fi-enabled smart speakers.
The Samsung Music Studio 7 and 5 models are designed to work seamlessly with the upcoming HW-Q990F and HW-QS90H soundbars, forming part of Samsung's 2026 home audio offerings. I'm looking forward to seeing all these models in action at CES soon, but for now, here's what is known about them.
Introducing the Music Studio Collection
Samsung's Music Studio Collection offers the Music Studio 7 (LS70H) and Music Studio 5 (LS50H) as part of its premium lineup. The Music Studio 7 is designed to deliver an exceptional audio experience with its 3.1.1-channel setup, complete with forward and upward-firing speakers.
Equipped with AI-driven Dynamic Bass Control to minimize sound distortion, this speaker also supports superior audio playback quality up to 24-bit/96kHz. It can wirelessly sync with other Wi-Fi-enabled Samsung soundbars and televisions, enriching your experience by functioning as rear speakers.
Meanwhile, the Music Studio 5, as the more compact option in this lineup, includes a 4-inch woofer, two tweeters, and a specialized waveguide for enhanced sound clarity and distribution. This model also offers AI Dynamic Bass Control and is versatile with Wi-Fi casting, streaming platforms, voice commands, and Bluetooth.
Discover Samsung's 2026 Q-Series Soundbars
Earlier this year, we explored the Samsung HW-Q990F, finding it to be a trustworthy and immersive audio system.
The 2026 flagship, Samsung HW-Q990H, enhances this tradition, offering a 7.0.2 main bar, 4.0.2 rear speakers, and an 8-inch dual-driver subwoofer. This system retains last year's 11.1.4-channel setup but introduces innovative AI features like Sound Elevation and Auto Volume.
Sound Elevation technology centers dialogue at the screen's core for natural audio, while Auto Volume assures a uniform listening experience regardless of channel or content.
Joining the new lineup is the Samsung HW-QS90H, a sophisticated all-in-one soundbar with an integrated 7.1.2-channel arrangement, boasting 13 drivers and a built-in subwoofer. The HW-QS90H is particularly versatile with a gyro sensor for optimal placement flexibility, maintaining sound quality whether on a table or mounted on a wall.
Pricing and release dates remain undisclosed, but further details are anticipated at CES 2026.
