Ikea's Matter-Compatible Smart Devices Now in the US
Last month, Ikea unveiled a lineup of 21 Matter-over-Thread devices, initially projecting a US release in January 2026. However, some of these gadgets have already emerged in Ikea's US online and physical stores after making their debut in Europe over the past month.
Available Smart Home Sensors
As of now, four out of the five smart sensors that were part of the November launch can be integrated into your smart home systems. Nevertheless, those eager to upgrade their lighting solutions must hold on for a while longer since Ikea's new Kajplats smart bulb series isn't available in the US yet.
Pricing and Availability
Details on the pricing of these new devices in the US are now available for the first time. The water leak sensor, designed to alert you through notifications and sound, is priced at $9.99. Also costing $9.99 is a motion sensor capable of triggering lights. For $7.99, there's a contact sensor that notifies you when windows or doors are opened or closed. Ikea's inaugural air quality monitor, which tracks CO2 levels and airborne PM2.5 particles, is offered at $29.99.
Additionally, Ikea's website lists a vibrant three-pack kit priced at $19.99. However, it remains unavailable online and in physical stores for now.
