In a notable industry move, Alan Dye, formerly Apple's Vice President responsible for Human Interface Design, has transitioned to Meta. Since the departure of Jony Ive in 2019, Dye has been instrumental in defining Apple's product aesthetics.

Now, Dye is poised to innovate under the guidance of Andrew Bosworth, Meta’s Chief Technology Officer. He will spearhead a freshly conceived studio focused on crafting the design of new hardware, software, and AI products.

Alan Dye's role at Apple will be succeeded by Stephen Lemay. A seasoned designer with a history of involvement in Apple's interface designs since 1999, Lemay steps in during a time of notable design transformation at the tech giant.

Meta's Expansion Plans with Dye

Meta has carved out a niche with products like its Quest VR headsets and innovative Ray-Ban smart glasses. With Dye's expertise, Meta aims to launch a slew of new consumer devices, potentially advancing models of its Ray-Ban Display and introducing the Neural Band accessory.
