Classified as a Category 5 storm, Melissa's landfall resulted in catastrophic flooding across Jamaica, leaving destruction in its wake.

Andrea described the chaotic scene as the hurricane approached, recalling the powerful winds and torrential rain that battered the area. "It was a nightmare," she revealed, noting the intensity and speed with which the storm altered the landscape and wreaked havoc on the community.
Despite the dire circumstances, Andrea and her team at the bed and breakfast worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of their guests, improvising shelter arrangements and securing provisions amidst the escalating crisis.
