Tragic Shooting at Tuskegee University Homecoming Event

During a Saturday night homecoming celebration at Tuskegee University in Alabama, a shooting erupted, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. This incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday and has affected both students and others present.

The university confirmed that the deceased individual was not affiliated with the institution. Their family has been informed of the tragic event.

Several individuals were harmed, including students from Tuskegee University. They are currently receiving medical care at surrounding hospitals, namely East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika and Baptist South Hospital located in Montgomery.

In response to the crisis, emergency services, along with university and local police, have established control over the location. Concurrently, the Alabama Bureau of Investigations is actively probing into the matter.
